“Kev is one of the most experienced instructors in Tarifa having lived and worked here since February 2006. I have a detailed knowledge of all the best beaches for us to kite each day, the wind conditions, the town, cafes and restaurants here in Tarifa and beyond.
I am your host for the week, will see you in the mornings, take you to the beach (if you don't have transport), take photos and videos (which we will review) and generally give you the benefit of my 14 years of kitesurfing knowledge to complement your instructor's teaching. Beginner / Intermediate lessons (from 2018) are through our good friends at Ozu-Tarifa.
I love the opportunities that kiting gives me to travel the world, from Brazil to Bournemouth, via Venezuela, Egypt, Morocco, Kenya and the mountains for snowkiting!
Before kiting became my work as well as passion I did a degree in Sports Science and managed various gyms and sports venues in London for over 10 years, and was a personal trainer and sports coach. I’ve always played football, golf, tennis, cricket – yep every sport in fact. I also surf and snowboard, but I don’t do ´the old fashioned´windsport”! With my kiting I just love Big Air hence the name High Flyers Tarifa! I am also getting seriously into wave riding on my strapless board.

Kev’s wife, Lisa, has lived in Spain since 2004. “After spending 18 months teaching English and learning Spanish I moved to Tarifa in 2006. As well as owning a language academy (want to learn Spanish whilst you’re here?!) I look after our two young daughters and kite if I have any spare time left! I’ll keep your energy up with the best apréskite cakes to munch on with a cup of tea after a hard day at the beach. I learnt to kite here in Tarifa with Kev, so can give you tips, advice and encouragement from a beginners point of view.”
